Tales to uplift

The Aesop Queer Library, 2026

Founded on a belief in the transformative power of queer storytelling, the Aesop Queer Library returns to select stores in the US, Canada, the UK, Europe and North Asia. The ephemeral Library offers complimentary books by LGBTQIA+ authors and allies—, no purchase required.

Body of Work

This year, the Library celebrates how writing that centres on the queer body can challenge assumptions, give greater visibility to stories too often overlooked or ignored, and serve as an act of joyful resistance.

The reading list

As in years past, we have partnered with Penguin Random House and local independent bookshops to source titles from a diverse range of queer authors.

Find a participating store

As with previous editions, each visitor will be invited to select a complimentary book to take home, while stocks last—no purchase required. Some stores will see their shelves cleared of most products and stocked with books instead—along with aromatic accompaniments to enhance reading moments. Other locations may feature designated Reading Rooms, furnished with a smaller selection of books:
Aesop Queen Street West — Queer Library
Aesop Mile End — Queer Library Reading Room
Aesop Robson Street — Queer Library Reading Room
